You could ask yourself how you realize when the oil in the gearbox must be changed. Well, there are some signs that will indicate your change. For example, if you notice that the change of speed steps is no longer easy and you feel the need to resort, this is a clear indication that something must be changed.

Furthermore, if the oil has a muddy look and is no longer transparent as before, it is a sign that has come time for its change. If you discover some other irregularities of the gearbox, do not forget to stop the engine. The next step is to call a mechanic and go to a service.

Periodically check the automatic gearbox phase

The constant inspection of the gearbox can prevent you from the appearance of any problems. This is the reason why the ZF gear manufacturer recommends changing the oil at 100,000 km, the first time, so this action must be repeated at 80,000 km.

The recommendation is valid for both cars that include the ZF 8hp gearbox with eight reports, as well as for the ZF box with six reports. In addition, these indications can be taken into consideration by those who have a car whose change belongs to other producers. However, there are some cars that require the change of oil starting from 60,000 km.

Why the change of oil in the gearbox?

This oil changes when it loses its properties, due to high temperatures during operation. In addition, various impurities begin to appear, which will influence the functioning of the internal mechanisms and lead to their bankruptcy, respectively of the car.

If you are in possession of a BMW, you must know that the exchange of oil in the automatic transmission is more complicated. This is a little more difficult to reach as the car has a change that has a complex mechanism, which includes the couple converter, which must be taken carefully.

The automatic transmission has moving parts, which means that it must be protected from overheating. In this sense, you should always check if the car cooling system has sufficient liquid. Otherwise, you have to complete it again and therefore the gearbox should be nice.

If you notice an alarm signal on the dashboard, it is clear that a high temperature has been reached inside the gearbox. Therefore, you should immediately go to a service.

Each driver must know that it is recommended to perform this operation in a service that has original parts, to maintain the change of various problems.

It stages the exchange of oil in the gearbox:

• First of all, the washing process takes place, through which the oil is recirculated through the filter of the device, since this is maintained the impurities and deposits much better. It can filter at 1.5 microns.
• The next step is to clean the gearbox, which is made with the help of a special solution to eliminate the misery deposits accumulated inside. This procedure is performed only for exchanges in time.
• Empty the oil in the oil bath. Then there is a cleaning of the mecharon and replaces the oil bath with the filter and related gaskets.
• It is completed with oil to start the engine.
• The oil replacement process is performed via a device that automatically changes the oil. For a complete exchange of oil, an 11 -liter amount is used.
